NTM #99 of 2011 – Live Firing at Pembroke Ranges Nov & Dec

As per NTM #99 of 2011, live firing practice will be carried out at the Pembroke Ranges during the months of November and December 2011, between 0700 and 17oo. Red flags will be flown from the shore limits during firing. Mariners must keep 4 nautical miles offshore when flags are sighted, and obey instructions from the AFM.

Marina resident yachts take top spots in the Rolex Middle Sea Race

Congratulations to Marina resident yachts Artie, Otra Vez and Jaru, who placed overall 1st, 3rd and 4th respectively in the Royal Malta Yacht Club’s 32nd edition of the Rolex Middle Sea Race. Great Stuff!

Harbour Cruises prohibited in the Marina NTM #96 of 2011

Mariners and operators of commercial vessels are notified, that entry by vessels carrying out harbour cruises to id-Dahla ta’L-Imsida is prohibited.

Speed Marker Buoy in Marsamxett Harbour NTM #97 of 2011

A speed Marker buoy to indicate a speed limit of less than 5 knots, has been placed in Marsamxett Harbour between Ta’Xbiex Sea Front and the Hotel Excelsior. The buoy carries a yellow flashing light of 1 flash every 4 seconds. Marina users are reminded to keep below the speed limit.
