Christmas Competition 2013
In conjunction with Creek Developments Plc, the Msida Local Council is organising a Christmas Decoration Competition for the boats berthed in the Msida & Ta’Xbiex Marinas and the Fishermen’s Pontoon inside Msida Creek.
The Msida Local Council has kindly offered to award trophies for the best decorated boat. The prizes are as follows:
– Best Decorated Leisure Boat – Christmas 2013
– Best Decorated Fishing Boat – Christmas 2013
– Best Decorated Pontoon – Christmas 2013
The Best Decorated Pontoon competition is a team event for the boats on a particular pontoon and competition will be among other pontoons in the Marina, as well as the Fishermen’s pontoon.
Msida Local Council will be switching on the Christmas Decorations in Msida on the 7th December, and ideally would like boats to switch on at the same time. Adjudication will take place between Christmas and New Year. Pictures of the decorated boats will be featured on Facebook as well as in the local media.
Marina Office Holiday Hours
The Marina Office will be closed all day on the 13th December, half day on the 23rd December, from 24th-26th December and the 31st December -1st January 2014. Apart from these dates, normal office hours apply. Marina Security continues 24 hours as usual.

Power Cut Pontoon O 4/12/2013
Due to a scheduled upgrade to the power supply on the Breakwater, electricity on Pontoon O and the Breakwater will be off on the 4th December 2013 from 07:30 to 16:00. We apologise for any inconvenience.
Water Supply Maintenance Monday 4/11/2013
Water supply will be temporarily cut off on the Ta’ Xbiex side of the Marina, on Monday 4th November 2013, for maintenance works. The works are due to take place between 09.00 and 12:00, after which normal supply will be restored. We apologise for any inconvenience suffered.
Transfer Fee for Berthing Licence Agreement
Yacht owners are advised that there is a fee of EUR 50 including VAT, payable by the seller, for transferring the berthing licence agreement between one boat and another, or one owner and another.
Saturday 21st September
Boat owners are reminded that Saturday 21st September 2013 is a public holiday and the Marina Office will be closed. Security patrols will continue 24 hours as usual.
